Mazurek was to pay Dr. Sabak 20,000 euros and apologize: Now everything is different – New Time

The Regional Court in Prešov annulled the decision of the court of first instance, which ordered the deputy of the National Council of the Slovak Republic (NR SR) Milan Mazurek to order doctor Peter Sabak to pay compensation in the amount of 20,000 euros. The news portal Aktuality.sk informs about it. Last December, a court in Kežmarok ordered the deputy to apologize to the doctor and pay compensation. “However, the Regional Court in Prešov has now annulled the decision of the court of first instance. Mazurek doesn’t have to pay anything or apologize, but he has to remove the mentioned video from Facebook. He hasn’t done that yet, “writes Aktuality.sk. Already in December, one of the first decisions was made in the case. Juraj Šteffel, a judge of the District Court in Kežmarok, issued an urgent measure ordering Mazurek to pay Sabak non-pecuniary damage in full. However, according to the Aktuality.sk portal, the deputy even appealed to Šteffel for a criminal complaint for bending the law. “The Court of Appeal has now ruled in favor of Mazurek, which he proactively reported on Facebook. Mazurek did not lie, but he simplified the matter a lot. No final decision has been made in the case yet. The Regional Court ruled only on an urgent measure, “writes Aktuality.sk, adding that the court dispute continues. Doctor Sabaka, who works at the infectology clinic in Kramáry in Bratislava, sued Mazurek and Milan Uhrík (both Republics) in October. In the video, they called him the covid prophet and connected him with the death of a boy from a Roma settlement.
