Ukrainian representative: Russian forces entered the city of Kreminna in the east – HNonline.sk

Russian forces entered the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine, where fighting began in the streets. This was stated on Monday by the governor of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Hajdaj, CNN reported. “The offensive has begun,” Hajdaj wrote in a short social network posting, saying that the Russians had entered the city with “a huge amount of technology.” According to him, the planned evacuations from Kreminna are not possible now. Russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses in Kreminna and other towns and villages in the Luhansk region as part of the declared goal of occupying the Donbas region, which also includes the neighboring Donetsk region. Hajdaj also said that the Olympus sports complex in Kreminna, destroyed during the Russian attack, continues to burn and the flames have already engulfed 2,400 square meters. “Rescuers are working hard because there is a forest near the center,” CNN was quoted as saying.
