(CNN Spanish) – Microsoft announced Windows 365 as a new service that allows you to put Windows 11 (when available later this year) or Windows 10 in the cloud so that it can be used from almost any device.

Windows 365, also known as Cloud PC, works through a web browser, promises an instant and simple start, as well as access to all applications, tools, data and user settings whether you use a Mac, an iPad, a Android tablet or Linux device.

This does not mean that you can only use one of these devices. You could actually use a different one every day and still have access to Windows 11 or Windows 10.

This kind of functionality is not entirely new. Microsoft has already offered something similar with Azure Virtual Desktop technology and other companies like Citrix have done something similar for a while. The different thing that Microsoft wants to bring to the market is the simplicity of use and management of these virtual desktops. Microsoft ensures that in just a few minutes it will be possible to create the PCs in the cloud or Cloud PC.

As Windows 365 is initially dedicated to the business sector, Microsoft also promises that in just minutes system administrators will be able to assign these PCs in the cloud and would greatly facilitate the hiring of temporary or remote employees.

Likewise, as Windows 365 allows access to Windows 11 or 10 through a browser, the hardware requirements for the computers or devices in which they are used are not so important because the general processing will be carried out in the Microsoft cloud system. .

When will Windows 365 come out and what will its price be?

Windows 365 will be available on August 2 through a monthly subscription. Microsoft hasn’t exactly announced the price. But he revealed that the plans will allow from a company with one user to a company with thousands of employees.

In addition, there will be two editions of Windows 365: Business and Enterprise. The two editions or versions work thanks to Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, a virtualization system for machines (or Virtual machines).

Windows 365 can be configured with a virtual CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, up to eight CPUs, 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB of virtual storage. In total, Microsoft will offer 12 different configurations for Windows 365 Business and Enterprise.
