“Green light” by the EU finance ministers to the “first 12 national recovery and resilience plans”, necessary to access the resources of the Next Generation Eu, including that of Italy. The executive vice president of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, gives the news via social media. The ministers, meeting in Ecofin in Brussels, adopted the related 12 implementing decisions. In addition to the Italian one, which is the largest of all in terms of total amount of funds, the plans of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain have been approved. “EU funds can soon start flowing to finance reforms and investments. The focus now is on putting them to good use quickly”, he concludes. Dombrovskis: “Now vital to implement plans” The approval of the first twelve national recovery and resilience plans “is just the beginning, now putting the plans in place will be vital”, emphasizes the executive vice president of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis. Now the Commission will be able to sign “the financing agreements” with the Member States that have seen their plans approved, which “will allow the pre-financing to be released by July”.
