Raúl Castro participates in a meeting of the Communist Party in the framework of the protests in Cuba

(CNN Spanish) – The Communist Party of Cuba reported through a statement that on Sunday he held a meeting in which Raúl Castro Ruz participated.

According to the statement published this Monday, the meeting was led by the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and addressed the issue of the protests that took place on the island, which the Communist Party describes as “orchestrated provocations. by counterrevolutionary elements and financed from the United States with destabilizing purposes ”.

US President Joe Biden said Monday that the Cuban people “demand their freedom from an authoritarian regime.” He also warned the island government against “attempts to silence the voice of the Cuban people.”
