Italy-England, incidents and riots in London: 49 arrests

The toll of accidents and riots in London as part of a series of operations conducted at the Italy-England final at Wembley last night is 49 people arrested and 19 policemen injured. This was announced by the metropolitan police, according to which the 49 people arrested were arrested for “a series of crimes”, while, “unfortunately, 19 of our agents were injured in confrontation with the crowd and this is totally unacceptable”. At the same time, the police thanked “the tens of thousands of fans who behaved responsibly”.
