Milan Mrukvia Source: Facebook – Milan Mrukvia BRATISLAVA – Four days after his 76th birthday, former hockey forward Milan Mrukvia died. The champion of Czechoslovakia from 1979 succumbed to a short serious illness, the hockeyslovakia.sk portal informed about it, referring to Mrukvio’s wife Eva. The native of Poprad spent significant years of his career in the Slovan Bratislava jersey. He participated in the historical victory of the federal title as a member of the second formation with Miroslav Miklošovič and Dušan Žiška. He played 10 seasons for Slovan, he also worked in Slovakia in the jerseys of Zvolen and Trenčín. In the jersey of Czechoslovakia, he competed in seven matches, in which he scored two goals. He emigrated to Switzerland in 1981 and worked as a coach after a career. He gradually led several teams of lower Swiss competitions until 2016, when he finished his coaching career at the age of 70.
