Why aren’t all Ferrero and Kinder products affected by the recall procedure? The association 60 Millions de Consommateurs questioned the Ferrero group. For several weeks Ferrero has been entangled in a health scandal. A group factory was contaminated with salmonella in December 2021. Since then, many products have been recalled en masse by the company, which denies having been slow to act and warn consumers. In total, more than 150 cases of salmonellosis have been detected in 9 countries including France, reports Le Monde. Which products concerned? As a reminder, the list of products concerned is as follows: Kinder Surprise 20g (one, three, four and six) and 100g, Kinder Schoko-Bons milk (125g, 150g, 200g, 225g, 300g, 330g, 350g, 480g, 500g) and Kinder Schoko-Bons white (200 and 300g), Kinder Happy Moments (191g, 242g, 347g, 400g), Kinder mini Eggs, hazelnut, cocoa, milk, and Kinder Mini Eggs mix, as well than Kinder Mix (193g bag, 150g basket, 133g soft toy, 198g bucket, 125g car) Christmas Advent Calendars 2021: 431 g, 133 g, 184 g, 311 g, 234 g, 127 g. A factory question For a few days, consumers have been asking themselves a question: why aren’t all Kinder products being recalled? The association 60 Million Consumers also questioned itself, as reported by the Independent. The latter therefore contacted the Ferrero company directly for answers. The Ferrero group explains in its response that the incriminated products “were not manufactured by the factory in Arlon (Belgium), but by another production site located in Italy.” And to add: “only products marketed between March 1, 2022 and April 4, 2022”.
