(CNN Spanish) – It took 120 minutes, but England did it: they beat Denmark 2-1 and qualified for the final of the European Championship, where they will face Italy.
Denmark took the lead in the 30th minute with a goal from Damsgaard. Then, at 39, an own goal from Kjaer tied the game.
England forward Harry Kane scored the winning goal in the 104th minute, a rebound after Schmeichel saved him from a controversial penalty.
England aims to win their first European Championship (they have been third twice), while Italy is looking for their second title (they won in 1968).
Denmark was left without the possibility of raising the trophy again: they had achieved it in 1992.
