“The judge for the preparatory proceedings of ŠTST partially complied with the prosecutor’s proposal and took the accused Ing. She added that in both cases, the judge considered that there was a reasonable suspicion of a crime. The prosecutor was proposed to be detained by a prosecutor at the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. These are former officials of the State Material Reserves Administration (SŠHR) SR. They are suspected of corruption offenses related to machinations in public procurement and breaches of obligations in the administration of foreign property. An investigator from the National Criminal Agency blamed 11 natural and six legal entities. The Pompeii police action concerns 36 public contracts at the SŠHR SR from 2016–2020. NAKA started criminal prosecution on the basis of its own findings and on the basis of a criminal report submitted by the current management of SŠHR SR.
