Leos Carax returns to Cannes with “Annette”, with Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver. The last film of the Franco-American director dates from 2012, it was “Holy Motors”. This time he signs a musical (dramatic) comedy whose soundtrack is composed by the Sparks.

After Edith Piaf, Marion Cotillard once again interprets a singer, this time lyrical. Adam Driver, her husband, is a famous comic. Together, they have a daughter, Annette, with an extraordinary fate, who will turn her parents’ lives upside down.

The film has been selected to open the 74th Cannes Film Festival, where it is in official competition. France 24 met the film crew.
