Classic E3Final results (Harelbeke – Harelbeke, 203.9 km): HARELBEKE. Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert from the Jumbo-Visma team became the winner of Friday’s classic E3 Harelbeke, which belongs to the highest category of the World Tour. Slovak representative Peter Sagan came to the finish line in 68th place with a deficit of 11.15 minutes. The second place went to the teammate of the winner Christophe Laporte from France at the same time. The third was occupied by the Swiss Stefan Küng from Groupama-FDJ with a deficit of 1:35 min, who succeeded in the sprint of the group of pursuers. He, of course, did not make complications to the reigning Belgian champion at the end and crossed the finish line just second hand in hand with the team leader. “There are a lot of races in this region and almost all of them are different than today. It wasn’t blowing, it was sunny weather, but we still had everything under control. They all did their best for the triumph, I’m proud of this team. This victory means a lot to me,” Van Aert expressed satisfaction.
