The author of Harry Potter immediately distanced herself. “Those who slaughter civilians guilty of the right to resist or arrest and poison their critics are not the best person to criticize Western cancel culture,” Rowling tweeted, attaching an article about the new prison sentence handed down to Alexei Navalny.
