today 14:01 | The HC Slovan Bratislava extra-league club will organize a domestic tournament with the participation of leading European teams from 18 to 21 August. In addition to the home team, Sparta Prague, Davos in Switzerland and Lukko Rauma in Finland will perform at the Ondrej Nepel Ice Stadium from 18 to 21 August. The Bratislava club announced on the official website that the premiere year of the Danube Cup will be dedicated to the memory of Ján Starš, a member of the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame. “The ambition of the tournament is once a year in the pre-season to create an opportunity for clubs from traditional European hockey countries to meet,” the whites said on the official website. The event will be played using a traditional one-on-one tournament system over four days.
