Several RATP unions are calling for a strike across the entire network this Friday, March 25, 2022. After the black day in the metros and RER on February 18, a new day of mobilization is organized in Parisian and Ile-de-France public transport. Several RATP unions are indeed calling for a strike for this Friday, March 25, 2022. This is what the inter-union told BFM Paris following a meeting organized on February 23, attended by FO, Solidaires , UNSA, CFE-CGC, La Base and CGT. Note that this strike could be unlimited. “Without a major change in the company, March 25 will mark the start of a long and hard action for the public service”, warns FO-Groupe RATP in a press release. Following the black day of February 18, the unions consider that they have not won their case concerning the desired wage increase of 3% per year. According to the unions, the management of the company offers them a 0.4% increase. The negotiations are therefore at a standstill and the railway workers intend to be heard. As a reminder, on Monday February 22, all the trade unions in the RATP’s RDS (Surface network) department, namely the CGT RATP BUS, the UNSA, FO, SOLIDAIRES, SAT, and the CFDT, were already calling for a day of strike, only in buses and trams, Friday March 25, 2022. Objective? Defend working conditions, but also denounce the opening to competition of public transport in the Ile-de-France region. Following the opening to competition of Parisian buses and the inner suburbs from 2025 validated by the board of directors of the manager Île-de-France Mobilités, the agents indeed fear job cuts. “Despite the refusal of the trade union organizations representing the operators to question the working conditions of the machinists-receivers, the company decided unilaterally to denounce the agreements “reduction of working time” and “working conditions of the machinists-receivers on March 31, 2021″, denounced the unions in a press release published on Facebook.
