The law, which has been expected since the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, has been approved. After the so-called Lex Ukraine knocked down the government, it was approved by deputies in the National Council tonight. It is a set of pieces of legislation that were necessary to address the problems that have arisen in connection with the refugee wave. 117 deputies voted in favor, seven against and 9 abstentions. They agreed on a contribution for accommodation and simplified employment of teachers or paramedics. “There are significant things that will help us cope even better with the refugee crisis,” said Prime Minister Eduard Heger. They do not yet know how high the bill for this crisis will be, on the grounds that the duration of the conflict in our neighbors is unclear. “Personally, I think that if the wave were to start, it could be in volumes, in our total monthly costs somewhere between 50 and one hundred million euros,” estimated Finance Minister Igor Matovic.
