War in Ukraine: “it was worse than a horror movie”, they tell the hell of Mariupol

France 24’s special correspondent, Gulliver Cragg, met a couple who managed to escape from Mariupol to reach Lviv, in western Ukraine. Oleksii Kazantsev and Viktoria Kazantseva managed to flee Mariupol with their daughter, to reach Lviv and its relative calm, in western Ukraine. The couple left everything behind to escape what they call a “horror movie.” Their mobile phone is filled with images showing Mariupol destroyed. The couple, who say they no longer feel safe anywhere in Ukraine, are now considering moving abroad.
