Drama at a high school in Malmö, Sweden: Several people were injured in the attack – New Time

An attack in what was called a “serious crime” took place at a high school in Malmö, Sweden, on Monday. Several people were injured. TASR received the report from DPA and AP. Police detained one person during the intervention, two injured were taken to hospital. The cause and severity of the injuries are still unknown. In the early evening, the police announced that they were in control of the situation. According to the Swedish daily Aftonbladet, the headmaster of the school, who was on a business trip to Gothenburg at the time of the incident, said there was “deadly violence” at the school. However, he did not provide details. The students were first locked in class, later evacuated by police. It is not clear whether the attack was related to the increased activity of Swedish criminal gangs, which have recently been behind several cases of explosions and shootings in cities across the country. Police said they would not provide any further information on the case until they found out exactly what had happened.
