Young volleyball player dies – SME | MY Nitra – MY Nitra

The Slovak volleyball player, who also played in the extra league, left at the age of 31. On Monday morning, the former Nitra volleyball player Petr Petrík was found in an apartment with no signs of life. This information was confirmed to us by one of his former teammates. Peter Petrík (born 1990) came from Vranov nad Topľou. He played the highest volleyball competition for Nitra and Svidník. He was a member of the VKP Bystrina SPU staff, which won gold in the extra league in 2016. He last played the first league for Komjatice, also in the current season. After finishing his playing career, he did not leave the sport, he worked in the club’s structures – for example, as a technical leader on the extra-league team or in the summer at beach playgrounds. He was nicknamed Vadim, he was single. He already had many acquaintances in Nitra. His demise is a shock to everyone. The causes of death are not known.
