However, in the case of NATO troops, the situation is different.

As many as two-thirds of Slovaks do not agree with the presence of American soldiers on our territory. This resulted from a survey by the Focus agency for the show Na telo with Michal Kovačič. Data collection began two days before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but continued during the Russian attack.

Only 10 percent of respondents strongly agreed that Americans should come to Slovakia. Another 19 percent previously agreed.

However, up to 40 percent of respondents expressed strong disagreement, and another 26 percent disagreed.

However, the situation is different with the troops of other NATO member countries. If we could select soldiers from a particular country, 50 percent of respondents would definitely and rather agree with their stay, 45 percent were against and five percent could not answer.
