Another Slovak national team and gold defender from Pyongyang, Henrieta Farkašová, dropped out.

Slovak men were also in action in super-G. Miroslav Haraus finished fifth, Jakub Krak was disqualified after passing through the goal, Marek Kubačka did not finish the race. For the first time, Martin France also presented himself in the standing downhill competition, taking 25th place in the competition of 39 competitors.

For Slovakia, it is the second gold medal in Beijing, the first one won on Saturday in the congress thanks to the defender Farkašová. He defends 11 medals in China, of which six are gold.

Paraalp skiers took care of them all four years ago in Pyongyang. With four gold and one silver medal, Farkašová became the most successful participant in the Games, which she was the first Slovak to achieve.
