In Toulouse, vaccine anti-pass still mobilized despite the upcoming lifting of restrictions

Despite the announced lifting of health restrictions from March 14, opponents of the government’s health policy beat the pavement in the Pink City this Saturday, March 5 in the afternoon in the name of their “freedoms” and against what they consider to be a “health and digital dictatorship”.

“No to QR code”, “No to computer control”: these are the slogans among others, brandished by opponents convinced of being victims of a generalized filing system intended to stigmatize certain sections of the population. “We are in a downward spiral of digital control. The vaccination pass collects our data to discriminate and divide citizens,” explains Jean-Pierre, anti-pass activist.

“We are not fools”

Indifferent to the suspension of the vaccination pass, which they consider to be only an “electoralist promise”, the demonstrators affirm that they will maintain their weekly mobilization until the definitive repeal of this document: “We will continue to mobilize because we are not fooled and know that by October, a new variant will be invented” adds Jean-Pierre. Although firmly opposed to the vaccine pass considered authoritarian and draconian, some demonstrators nevertheless advocate freedom of vaccination: “We are not against the vaccine, we are for the freedom of everyone to decide whether or not to be vaccinated” explains Françoise, anti-vaccination activist. -pass.

Gathered timidly in the middle of the procession, a few Yellow Vests were also present in the name of the convergence of struggles: “We are all here for the same thing: the fight against social injustice, inequality and for freedom” indicates Patrick, Gilet yellow.
