Riots during a match between Querétaro and Atlas leave at least 22 injured

(CNN Spanish) — At least 22 people were injured this Saturday after the disturbances that occurred in a professional soccer game in Mexico between Querétaro and Atlas at the Corregidora stadium in Querétaro, reported in Twitter the State Civil Protection Coordination.

“Derived from the events recorded this Saturday afternoon at the Corregidora stadium, the CEPC reports that so far there are no reports of deceased persons, 22 injured persons, 9 of them transferred to the General Hospital and of these, two of them of severity,” the entity explained in the message.

Both the League and the Mexican Football Federation reported that they have opened investigations into the incident, which occurred during the match between Gallos Blanco del Querétaro and Atlas.
