Anthony Ramos: «’Échale’ is the pretext to go out and have fun»

(CNN Spanish) – Singer and actor Anthony Ramos He presented his second record production entitled “Love and Lies” from which the first single “Échale” emerges.

In a video call with CNN Pop Zone From Montreal, Canada, he spoke about the meaning of this issue after having spent more than a year in a pandemic and what it was like to work with Colombian producers Andres Torres Y Mauricio Rengifo.

Ramos, who has acted in such films as “In the Heights,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” among others, talks about how combining his career as an actor and a musician has served him well.

«Échale», synonymous with having a good time

Anthony Ramos assures that «Échale» is the pretext to go out to have fun. «Échale is the opportunity to go dancing with that person, when you want to go crazy … let’s go! I think that’s the spirit of the song, Ramos says. “I want to have a good time. These couple of years have been very crazy. I’m so excited that we can be outside again and be together and we can have fun together, ”the Puerto Rican shared.

“I am so excited to give this album to everyone. This song is sexy, it’s dark, and it’s upbeat. I think that was the goal of every song on this album. Everyone has been locked up for a year and a half. And I think everyone just wants to have fun, “confesses Ramos.

Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo: «Brillantes»

Without a doubt, saying the names Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo in the musical world is talking about the producers of the moment.

«When I returned to Andrés and Mauricio I asked them, can we write a song inspired by these types of rhythms? And that’s how we came up with the song, because it sounded like ka ka ka ka and I was very excited. This is one of my favorite songs on the album, “he adds.

The advantages of being an actor and singer

Anthony Ramos believes that being an actor in series and movies has served him well in the musical world.
