BRATISLAVA. Denmark, Germany, Finland and Finland will also close their airspace for Russian aircraft Ireland. The BBC news portal informs about it with the fact that it is not yet known when this measure will come into force in Finland and Ireland.

The closure of German airspace will be valid from 15.00 CET for the next three months and will apply to all flights to Germany as well as transit flights, the Ministry of Transport specified.

Humanitarian flights will be exempt from the ban, which is due to apply for the next three months.

Finland has a 1,300-kilometer border with Russia, which means that the main western route from Russia will be closed.

For Russia’s invasion of Ukraine Thirteen European countries have already closed their airspace for Russian aircraft: in addition to Denmark, Germany, Ireland and Finland, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Poland, LithuaniaLatvia, Estonia, Romania and Bulgaria.

In addition, the High Representative of the European Union told Reuters that the closure of airspace for Russian aircraft in all EU countries is at stake. The foreign ministers should discuss the measures today, but the countries have already taken individual decisions.

In response to these measures, Moscow also banned flights over its territory for routes from several countries.
