OSLO – The Norwegian Ski Association has identified Russian athletes as undesirable at its events. However, without the support of the International Ski Federation (FIS), they cannot prevent them from starting the World Cup race on Norwegian territory.

By the end of the season, the FIS had canceled all events that were to take place in Russia. At the same time, however, she confirmed that the Russians can start the race. However, if they succeed, they will not play the national anthem and the Russian flag will not be flown at the stadium. The DPA informed.

“Russia’s violations of international law and attacks on the Ukrainian people require international condemnation and sanctions. Sport cannot stand aside and remain passive about what is happening. The Norwegian Ski Federation’s message to Russia and Russian athletes is very clear – we do not want you here.” stated the federation.
