MISCELLANEOUS – Twenty hooded people attacked this Friday, February 25 in Nanterre the filming of the second season of Lupinein the presence of actor Omar Sy, to steal equipment there, AFP learned from a police source.

The team was attacked with mortar fireworks around 3 p.m. during filming in the Pablo-Picasso district of Nanterre in the Hauts-de-Seine, said the same source.

According to The Parisian“about twenty people, their faces hidden by balaclavas, tumbled onto the scene and fired fireworks at the professionals to then seize filming equipment and even some of their personal belongings”.

No injuries are to be deplored but nearly 300,000 euros of equipment was stolen.

Contacted by AFP, Netflix confirmed “the incident” and “assured that the safety of the teams is a priority”. The company added “hope to be able to resume filming soon”.

After conquering tens of millions of Netflix subscribers around the world, Omar Sy has put on his gentleman-burglar sneakers again for the long-awaited second part of Lupinethe first made-in-France box from the American giant and brought back to the page of the sparkling hero created in 1905 by Maurice Leblanc.
