Ukraine-Russia war, Taliban “concerned about civilians”

“Concern” for civilians in Ukraine comes from the Taliban, which since last August are again masters of Afghanistan and who are now asking “restraint” from “all sides”. The Taliban believe there is a “real possibility” of civilian casualties in the conflict and have called for protection for Afghan “students and migrants” in Ukraine. The de facto authorities of Afghanistan claim a “neutral foreign policy”, do not criticize the “special military operation” announced by Vladimir Putin and are confident that the current “crisis” can be resolved “through dialogue and in a peaceful way”.
