It’s a cold shower for Vanessa Duremord and amazement for the other participants in Beijing Express. Étienne, the pair from Aveyronnaise, threw in the towel this Thursday evening after the third episode of the program broadcast on M6. An abandonment which means “the end of the dream” and of the adventure for the grocer from Campuac.

“A sledgehammer!” It is with these words that Vanessa Duremord, the Aveyronnaise engaged in Beijing Express, welcomed the announcement of the end of her television adventure, at the end of the third episode broadcast this Thursday evening on M6.

A few minutes earlier, when the duo she formed with Etienne, a doctor from Cannes, was suspended but still in the race, the latter announced that he was giving up, creating the stupor of all the candidates and provoking the Vanessa’s tears.

It is therefore the end of this duo, which many have found rather poorly matched. She, the grocer from Campuac, always positive, determined, in a good mood and who kindly made fun of Etienne: “He’s a colorful character, but I love it. He makes me laugh so much”, she smiled during the second episode. Him, never happy, always complaining, sissy and grumpy.

Without excusing the latter, it should be noted that the physical intensity went up a notch during this third episode in Uzbekistan. With particularly difficult tests under a blazing sun! And at this rate, Etienne quickly showed his limits.

And Vanessa, who had always been patient and tolerant, let herself go a bit: “You are annoying me !” “You bother me !”, she launched to her partner. While the latter never stopped complaining: “It’s no use!”, “We’re finished!”

But the Aveyronnaise, despite her big disappointment, is not resentful: “I didn’t blame him. It’s no use. We’ve been through some very nice things. He’s someone who is super funny and pleasant”she told Tele-Leisure. “I don’t see the point in blaming him and he had a huge sense of guilt over me. It must not have been an easy decision for him so I don’t blame him and I don’t blame him. always not.”
