Russian troops have already entered Kiev. Shooting and explosions can be heard from the northern part of Obolon, which is located about 10 kilometers from the city center, the AFP agency reports from the fighting site.

The Department of Defense called on local civilians to resist. Those who do not want to take part in the fighting should not leave the house.
