The United States claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin is already fully prepared to attack Ukraine in full. The AFP news agency reported, referring to Wednesday’s statement of an unnamed American representative of the armed forces.

“We estimate that (Putin) is currently approaching a nearly 100 percent deployment of all the (disrupted) forces we expected to deploy,” said the said representative on condition of condition of anonymity.

He approached that 80 percent of the estimated more than 150,000 Russian troops on the border with Ukraine are “on standby”, they are deployed in offensive positions within a few kilometers of the border. According to him, whether or not Russia actually attacks is up to Putin, but the attack could happen at any time now.

Although US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was “beginning”, officials told him that they had no evidence that Russian forces had crossed Ukraine’s borders.
