Kuciaka († 27) and Kušnírová († 27) were executed four years ago: There is a lot the public does not know about Martin – NEW TIME

Martina Kušnírová († 27): There is a lot that the public does not know about her. Her colleagues and friends still emotionally remember the young woman, and they also embodied their memories in a collection with the symbolic name Čriepky.

On Monday, February 21, we will commemorate the sad anniversary of the death of two young people for the fourth time. Although the investigation showed that the main target of the ruthless murderers was the journalist Ján Kuciak († 27), his fiancée Martina Kušnírová († 27), who worked as an archaeologist, did not forget.

Alica Javorková’s girlfriend: She was good at bones

I met Maťa at the Department of Archeology in Nitra, where we both started our first year. At first glance, a nice, smiling grandmother, with whom I always had something to talk about and something to laugh about. She was not only my classmate, but over the years she became one of my closest friends.

We asked archaeologist Pavel Jelínek: The day the news of the murder of two young people was made public is sure to be remembered like everyone else. What did she catch you with?

I just sat down in the morning because I sent an article written in honor of a student who recently died. I saw a photo of Mati and Ján Kuciak on the computer. The first reaction was that aha, Mother … And under that headline – shot! That will be remembered. That evening I had one archeological lecture for the public and then we went to light the first candles at the SNP.

The whole interview with the archaeologist Pavel Jelínek, who transformed the memories into the book form of Čriepka, as well as the memories of colleagues and friends of Martin Kušnírov, can be found in Nový Čas Sunday.
