Urgent words! Zelensky called for an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of talks with Russia – NEW TIME

On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for an immediate ceasefire in Donbas and the resumption of talks with Russia under the auspices of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

Zelensky published his call after a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, who had previously spoken to Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin.

“We are in favor of intensifying the peace process. We support the immediate convening of the Trilateral Contact Group,” Zelensky said, referring to a format that includes representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE.

In recent days, there has been an escalation of fighting and armed incidents on the front line in the Donbas, blaming both Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists.

The self-proclaimed separatist forces announced a general mobilization on the grounds that the Ukrainian president was preparing an attack on their territories. Kiev denies such an intention and claims that it is only a pretext for the impending Russian invasion of Ukraine, near which Moscow has already concentrated about 150,000 troops.
