The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee comes to Europe with one engine only. Forget about V6 and V8 – REFRESHER

Last year was crucial for Jeep as it unveiled its famous Grand Cherokee in a brand new, will advise the 5th generation. At the time of its introduction, however, it was a version intended for the American market, we know the European one only now. Visually, it is no different from the American one. The front part is dominated by narrow full-LED headlights, which are connected to a traditional radiator grille with seven holes. We record large intergenerational changes at the back – so far relatively wide and high taillights in the corners have replaced horizontally placed headlights with a much narrower profile. An interesting detail is the chrome bar, which extends from the front A-pillar to the top of the body and descends down again at the D-pillar.

Even in our region, the new Grand Cherokee will pamper the crew with a luxurious cabin, which has up to three approximately 10 “displays – digital alarm clocks, a multimedia center in the middle of the deck or a screen in front of the passenger. The European customer will have to make do with only one available engine, the smallest. This is the first plug-in hybrid called 4xe, which has its premiere in the Grand Cherokee model, but it is based on a 2-liter petrol four-cylinder, which is accompanied by a pair of electric motors. The power of the whole system is up to 208 kW / 380 hp and 637 Nm, which, by the way, paradoxically makes the most powerful.

Unfortunately, the other two versions – 3.6 V6, 219 kW / 298 hp and 5.7 V8, 268 kW / 365 hp – will not be available in our country at all. Although the Grand Cherokee is one of the few American vehicles that is still sold on the old continent, we will forget about its famous American technology in our country. Jeep is about to launch the new product in the luxurious Exclusive Launch Edition, which can be pre-ordered from today until the end of March.
