The Minister of Finance Igor Matovič stood at the lectern after Robert Fico, who submitted a motion for appeal. The leader of the OĽaNO movement presented the government’s position that it was a hysterical attempt by the opposition. After the official opinion, he took the floor, which was interrupted by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Juraj Blanár and a minor skirmish broke out.

The government rejected the proposal to dismiss the Minister of the Interior. “We consider the fabricated justification of the group of deputies, according to which the Minister of the Interior coordinated the detention of Vladimír Pčolinský on political instructions, to be grotesque. Matovič read from the common position.
“The Government of the Slovak Republic sees no relevant reason to express no confidence in the Minister of the Interior, Roman Mikulec, fully supports him in his reform plans and considers the intentions of the petitioners to be a characterless, vicious and hysterical attempt to return to our people’s system.” he added. Then he took the floor for a moment.
Response to Fica
He wanted to respond in a few words to the words of Robert Fico, whom he described as the engine of the twelve-year misfortune in Slovakia. “He’s cowardly enough to sew himself, so he probably drinks in the MP’s lounge now, but there’s a big enough screen and it’s loud, so I’m sure he hears me.” Matovic began. In a fiery speech, he mentioned the murders of Ján Kuciak and Martina Kušnírová and said that the former government, led by Smer, had created a system where the law did not rule, but feelings and godliness.

According to Matovič, Fico made a huge tool of mega-corruption from Slovakia, he mentioned, for example, the former state secretary Monika Jankovská, who was supposed to “sell judgments for her handbags”. Leader OĽANO also blamed Fico for creating a system in which someone could kill a journalist for not liking his articles. “That you’re not ashamed, you’re going to moralize here, you’re going to say something here,” said Fico had no degree of self-reflection.

After about five minutes of his speech, he was interrupted by Juraj Blanár, who chaired the meeting. “Mr. Minister, I’m sorry, I want to interrupt you. Pursuant to the Rules of Procedure par. 109, paragraph 3, the President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic will immediately send a proposal to dismiss a member of the government Blanar began. “Minister, you are in charge of the government to present the government’s position, so I want to ask you what you are saying is an official government position or it is your proposal, otherwise I will take the floor and you will be able to join the debate. so that Members can respond to you, “ he said.

Matovic said it was his opinion. “If there is a debate, I will join the debate.” he said. “This is the position of the government that I have to submit, and I would very much like you, Mr Vice-President, not to jump into my speech when you do not like something I say.” he said. “I warn you, Minister, once again, if this is not an official position of the government, I urge you to end your speech, otherwise I will suspend the debate.” he said.
“I warn you that you are the Deputy Prime Minister, part of the corruption and money laundering mega-machine, and you should keep your mouth shut and leave me room to present the government’s position.” Matovič added, which was applauded. Blanár then had to adjourn the meeting, inform Parliament Speaker Boris Kollár and convene a parliamentary board. Matovic then continued his speech.
