The tennis player, who was recently expelled from Australia, gave a new interview.

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said in an interview with the British BBC that he was ready to skip the grand slam tournaments in Paris and Wimbledon if vaccination against covidu.

“It’s a price I’m willing to pay.” said the unvaccinated tennis player.

He is not vaccinated

The 20-time Grand Slam champion confirmed in an interview that he himself was not vaccinated. “I understand the implications of my decision, I realize I can’t travel to most tournaments.”

Djokovic, 34, has not played this season yet. In January, he was expelled from Australia after lengthy visa obstructions and speculations about an exempt covid-19, and was unable to defend his title at the season’s grand slam tournament.

The World Tennis Unit does not want to be associated with the anti-ax movement, but believes in the freedom of choice of the individual.

Consideration“I’ve never been against vaccination,” he said that he himself was vaccinated as a child. “On the other hand, I’ve always preferred the freedom to choose what one has in one’s body.”

The tennis player considers decisions that affect his body to be more important than titles or anything else. “I try to be in harmony with my body as much as possible. I’ve always been very interested in health, well-being or nutrition, ” reminded a native of Belgrade.

He added that his decision not to be vaccinated was also partially affected by the positive effects of diet and sleep changes on his career.

He did not rule out his vaccination against covid-19 in the future. “I keep my mind open. I understand that everyone in the world is doing their best to control the virus, and we hope that the pandemic will be over soon. “ stated the winner of 86 ATP Tour tournaments.

For the first time, Djokovic would like to start in February in Dubai, where vaccination is not mandatory.
