Five months before the Euro in England (July 6 to 31), the French ensured, Wednesday, February 16, against Finland, in Le Havre, for their first match in the Tournoi de France (5-0). Wendie Renard, back after several injuries, notably offered herself a double. Les Bleues take the lead in this competition organized in the form of a mini-Championship with also Brazil and the Netherlands.

The French did not have time to doubt. From the twelfth minute, they shook the opposing nets thanks to a clumsy header from Anna Westerlund who deceives his goalkeeper, on a cross from Sandy Baltimore. Effective from a corner, the French will then score two goals through Melvine Malard and Wendie Renard from a set piece.
At half-time, Les Bleues were already leading easily. In a less intense second period, Corinne Deacon’s players increased the score on an error in the goalkeeper’s recovery by Grace Geyoro. A performance punctuated by a new goal from Wendie Renard from a corner. A second period marked by the return of Kheira Hamraoui in the blue jersey.
