Changes to the Interior Ministry inspection: Abolition of the team that accused Čurilla et al! – NEW TIME

A tangled case. The Oblúk inspection team, which was investigating suspicions that elite NAKA police officers were manipulating the investigation of large cases, was canceled.

The decision was made by Police Director Štefan Hamran and Director of Police Inspection Robert Miko. The head of this team was originally Diana Santusová, who accused NAKA investigators, including Ján Čurilla et al. According to the interrogation, they spoke at Santus about “burning the car with a canister”.

Among the reasons, the Ministry of the Interior mentions the non-compliance of the continued existence of a specialized team with the relevant internal regulations of the Ministry of the Interior or the impossibility of performing any control of the team leader, but also the lack of police officers.

“It should also be noted that the abolition of the Oblúk team does not disrupt any further conduct of procedural and other actions that will continue to be performed within the ÚIS by investigators and operational staff of the Oblúk who were part of the specialized Oblúk team,” written by the Ministry of the Interior under the leadership of Roman Mikulec.

The inspection team investigated suspicions that elite NAKA police officers were inducing manipulation of the investigation. NAKA police officers Ján Čurilla, Pavol Ďurka, Milan Sabota and Štefan Mašin are thus accused of the crime of abuse of power by a public official.

The General Prosecutor’s Office did not cancel all these allegations even after the regional court stated in their release from custody that this was an unfounded accusation. The GP thinks that they should have wanted to pursue the inspection by NAKA. The abolition of the inspection team is thus a continuation of the war between the police.
