A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Guatemala today, reducing some buildings to rubble, uprooting trees and causing landslides. The tremors were also felt in El Salvador and Mexico. This was announced by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center explaining that the epicenter was detected at a depth of 96 kilometers.
