High case numbers were to be expected, Health Minister Lengvarsky continues to recommend testing in companies

Nearly 58 percent of those tested on Tuesday by PCR tested positive for COVID-19. 3090 people had a positive antigen test, with a total of 24,533 tests.

“The most positive increased in the Prešov region, the least in the Nitra region”, added by the Ministry of Health.

The number of hospitalizations has decreased

There are 2466 patients with COVID-19 in the hospitals. There are 251 people at JIS, 101 people need support for artificial lung ventilation. Almost 71 percent of hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.

There were 252 people vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine, as well as 1284 fully vaccinated people. Currently, there are a total of 2,782,979 vaccinated people in Slovakia, while 2,518,049 people are fully vaccinated.
