Swiss skier Priska Nuferová achieved the best time in the first timed practice for the women’s downhill at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
The second Kira Weidel from Germany lagged behind the “Skala” ski slope in the Yingqing mountain resort by 44 hundred seconds, the third was the Austrian Christine Scheyer (+0.67). Olympic super-G winner Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland set the sixth best time (+0.94).
The defending champion of Italy, Sofia Goggio, who plans to start in the downhill despite a knee injury from the January World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, finished in 12th place in the first practice with a deficit of 1.55 s.
Slovak skier Petra Vlhová did not start. The Women’s Olympic Congress is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15 at 4:00 CET.
