Logical and financially advantageous step of the Ministry of the Interior: Production of tables with EC will pass from the private to the state – NEW TIME

Based on the results of the public procurement, the Polish company should supply the technology worth 725 thousand euros. The production and distribution center is to be located in Banská Bystrica. This was stated for TASR by the press department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.

The Ministry of the Interior considers it logical that the state, as the only customer of the tables, will take over their production. He also argues for a better price. “Expected costs for the production of registration number tables at today’s input prices, including loan repayment, will be below the price level resulting from the Ministry of the Interior’s public procurement for the supply of last year’s tables“he reasoned.

The tables should be produced by the company Automobálové opravovne MV SR, in which the sole shareholder is the Ministry of the Interior. The technology for the production of metal markings should be supplied by the Polish company UTAL Sp. z oo, which offered the best price in public procurement. They are to sign the contract as soon as it is approved by the Ministry of the Interior.

The subject of the contract is the purchase of an automatic production line for metal markings and registration marks, including service software in the amount of 725 thousand euros without VAT. “The technology will include a module for processing the web for the production of registration number tables, laminating machine, character embossing machine, ironing holographic symbols (screen printing, laser marking machine), marker and control panel, through which it will be possible to fully control automatic production“the press department explained.

Reconstruction of the property is also being prepared, where the tables will be produced, stored and distributed. “It will be a protected regime workplace built in Banská Bystrica, as the logistics of distribution to all traffic inspectorates will be the most efficient from there“The last step before the start of production is to be a consistent communication and logistics setting. The ambition is also to prepare communication and software improvements for traffic inspectorates, and the modernization has also been felt by citizens and entrepreneurs.

The production and distribution of registration number plates is currently provided for the state by a private company. At the end of last year, the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic concluded a new framework agreement with the Czech company SPM Security Paper Mill. The previous long-term supplier was the company Turčan Delta, which until 2019 also owned a patent for table designs.
