Covid in Slovakia: 15,549 new cases and XX deaths added – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. PCR tests detected 15,549 cases of coronavirus infection in Slovakia on Saturday. The laboratories tested 28,424 samples.

Another 20 people were covered in Covid, bringing the total number of victims to 17,958.

1,677 people also had a positive antigen test, almost 59 percent of whom were not vaccinated.

It informed about it National Center for Health Information and the Ministry of Health.

The most positive tests were in the Košice region, the least in the Banská Bystrica region.

The number of hospitalizations with covid increased slightly. There are 1,906 patients in hospitals, 268 in JIS and OAIM, 134 people need support for artificial lung ventilation.

More than 75 percent of those hospitalized are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.

The third dose of anti-cancer vaccines received 2,572 people on Saturday, 541 were vaccinated with the second dose and 300 people received the first dose yesterday.
