After two races, he is in 16th place, Marián Skupek is in 26th place. Both will have their third race on Sunday, only the 20 fastest sledders will reach the fourth.

Ninis made a mistake at the end of the second run when he couldn’t make the turn and had to level the sled. “It’s problematic there, it connects three bends, the ice is nicely ground, there is the highest speed. Just a small shift and the sleds go into a skid. I struggled with it all week. Yesterday I put two nice rides down, I was set to make it work today. Maje Skupek and I were also looking at the section, but at that speed it’s hard to guess. The sledge will move and it won’t hold anymore. But it’s my fault. “ stated the Slovak Olympian.

After the first two training rides, Ninis also struggled with sledges, which he had to adjust. But he finally admitted that it was not a significant problem: “I thought the sleigh was to blame, but all I had to do was let it go. I dealt with yesterday and I believed it would work out today.”

Skupek also had a problem with the curves at the end of the toboggan, but several competitors hesitated in this section. “Both of my rides could definitely have been better, I made a mistake in both of them. Otherwise it was without major problems. I didn’t start before, but it was definitely better now, but there is room for improvement. I will try to improve it in tomorrow’s race. I made mistakes, but other competitors have problems there as well. We will analyze it with the coaches and we will try to correct it. ” evaluated by Skupek.

Both Slovaks will have their third race on Sunday, which will decide whether they will also perform in the fourth. “I’m analyzing both of today’s races. It’s still only half the race and I’ll fight as much as I can. We’ll go with Maja to the gym and try to wake up. I firmly believe I’ll get to the fourth race as well.” said Ninis, who is already starting in his fifth Olympics.

Ninis knows the toboggan in Beijing, he was at the opening of the games before the games and he also competed in the World Cup: “I’ve tried everything here. The pre-race training has been the worst for me so far. After all, it’s an Olympics and a special race where more is expected. I didn’t put pressure on myself, I just had to go relaxed.”
