Survey: Slovaks blame NATO and US tensions in the East more than Russia – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. According to Slovaks, the USA and the Czech Republic are more responsible for the tension on the Russian-Ukrainian border ONTO than Mask. This follows from a survey by the Focus agency for the TV show Markíza Na telo.

The exploratory question was: Who do you think is responsible for the growing tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border and in the Baltics, Russia or the United States and NATO?

According to the results, 44.1 percent of respondents think that the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are responsible for the tension between Ukraine and Russia. 34.7 percent of respondents said Russia was the source of the tension and 21.2 percent said “I don’t know”.

NATO and the US blame the tension mainly on supporters of the Republic (90.3 percent), Smer (78.6 percent), Hlas (54.1 percent), followed by PS (26.2 percent), We are a family (39.2 percent) , KDH (25.3 percent), OĽaNO (19.6 percent) and SaS (15.6 percent).

Supporters of SaS (65.6 percent), OĽaNO (59.1 percent), Hlas (27.9 percent), Smer (10.6 percent), PS (56.7 percent), Republika ( 6.3 percent), We are a family (41.2 percent) and KDH (47.5 percent).

The average coalition voter blames the tension on 23.9 percent of the United States and NATO and 56.1 percent of Russia. The average opposition voter blames the tension between the two states, 71 percent of the United States and NATO and 16.3 percent of Russia.

The survey was conducted in the period from 19 January to 26 January on a sample of 1,017 respondents.
