If the 2022 Qatar World Cup were today, which countries would play?

(CNN Spanish) — There are 32 teams that will compete in the 2022 Qatar World Cup and so far 14 teams have qualified. In addition to the host country, several have already qualified for the championship, including favorites Brazil, Argentina, Germany and defending champion France.

According to the qualifiers in each confederation, there are some teams that, at today’s cut, would be in the World Cup. But in the case of Africa, the third qualifying round is a head-to-head, so the 10 CAF teams that made it to this point may or may not qualify.

This is how the quotas are distributed:

Europe – UEFA: 13 slots
Africa – CAF: 5 slots
South America – Conmebol: 4.5 seats
Asia-AFC: 4.5 seats
North America, Central America and the Caribbean – Concacaf: 3.5 seats
Oceania – OFC: 0.5 slots

Below are the teams that would be ranked based on their current playoff spots, not counting playoffs.
