NVIDIA RTX 3050: plenty of cards available at MSRP in the UK? – Hardware Cooking

This information comes to us from Overclock3D. According to their sources, a UK retailer would have no less than 1000 copies of RTX 3050. On all these maps, several hundred would be resold at MSRP price (£239.99 in the UK). On the other hand, please note that this is only one retailer out of several. Anyway, we strongly hope that we will also have a large number of cards available with some at the MSRP price (279 euros for France). Indeed, we have already seen that models with a factory OC can be expensive around 500 euros.

GeForce RTX 3050: a large stock and an MSRP price partly respected?

Remember that we will have today at 3 p.m. the tests of these cards on the media sites, including ourselves. Availability for sale will be effective tomorrow at 3 p.m. The GeForce RTX 3050 represents the entry level of NVIDIA and the brand compared it on its product sheet to GTX 1650 and GTX 1050 and according to the latest leaks it would be equivalent to a GTX 1660 Ti. Its price also makes the RTX 3050 a successor to the GTX 1660/1660 Super. Obviously, with RT Cores and Tensor Cores it should be much more interesting on DLSS compatible games. In addition, the list of DLSS games is constantly growing for our greatest happiness.

NVIDIA’s new entry-level model is based on the GA106-150 GPU. It has 2560 CUDA cores, 80 Tensor Cores and 20 RT Cores. It has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at a speed of 14 Gbps on a 128-bit bus giving a bandwidth of 224 GB/s. Its TDP is 130 W and its MSRP price is 279 euros. On paper, this entry-level card is much more interesting than the RX 6500 XT of the reds, which have only 4 GB of memory on a 64-bit bus. Especially since the latter is on LDLC at prices ranging from 300 to 370 euros. An RTX 3050 at its recommended price of 279 euros would be a real bargain in the face.
