Vienna Airport has opened state-of-the-art sleeping cabins. They clean themselves, there is free wifi, the night costs 48 euros – REFRESHER

At Vienna’s Schwechat Airport, passengers will now be able to sleep. They will have 16 special sleeping cabins. The Italian start-up Zzzleepandgo opened them at the airport, he warned Pelican.

“With immediate effect, we are enabling all passengers a new convenient service at the terminal. Passengers who spend more time at the airport can now wait for the waiting period relaxed and calm in modern sleeping cabins developed by Zzzleepandgo. ” said Julian Jäger, CEO of Vienna Airport.

The price for such a cabin is 9 euros per hour. It is possible to stay in it for the whole night, with the arrival being possible from 20.00 and the departure being no later than 10.00 the next day. Such a stay costs 48 euros. Passengers will find these cabins at terminal 3. Accommodation can be booked online or directly on site.

By the end of 2022, Zzzleepandgo wants to provide these cabins at another 16 international airports, together in 9 countries.

Cabins, or other capsules, are equipped with electrical outlets, USB ports and also free internet. The equipment includes shelves and a folding table in the cabin. In addition to sleeping or relaxing, movies and music are available. Ventilation and opaque curtains are also provided.

The start-up presents this project as smart lounges. These are intended to provide passengers with a peaceful place to sleep, rest or work.

If the passenger decides to make a reservation on the spot, he can do so directly in the cabin. The virtual reception will require a passport, a credit card and a covid passport upon request.

If the passenger is already accommodated, his stay outside the cabin is not limited in any way. After disposal, the modern capsule cleans itself and disinfects itself. Modern ventilation can remove viruses and bacteria from the air.
