Bašternák goes free, he was originally supposed to be in prison until 2024 – Denník N

Ladislav Bašternák will be released. This was decided by the Regional Court in Trenčín, which upheld the district court’s resolution in a closed session. Bašternák was convicted of tax fraud for five years, he was originally supposed to be in prison until March 2024.

Last November, the Trenčín District Court decided to release Bašternák from prison, set him a 30-month probationary period and was forbidden to travel outside Slovakia, which will be controlled by technical means.
