KRONPLATZ – Slovak skier Petra Vlhová took the lead after the 1st round of Tuesday’s huge World Cup slalom. In Kronplatz, Italy, she was 34 hundredths of a second ahead of Sweden’s Sara Hector, and the third was, after the departure of the initial fifteen starting American, American Mikaela Shiffrin with a deficit of 0.59 s.

The 26-year-old Slovak national team returned to the World Carousel after missing a weekend event in speed disciplines at another Italian resort, Cortina d’Ampezzo. It focused on the “giant” and the strategy celebrated success. She opened the general at the Olympic Games with the starting number 1. In sunny conditions, she went very dynamically, she went smoothly from arc to arc and graduated her ride in a sloping slope, where she gained the biggest lead compared to her rivals. She was the only one who managed the track in under a minute.

Anyway, only the leader of the discipline evaluation and the winner of the previous competition, Hectorová, approached the sovereign Vlhová, but she also fell behind in the lower half. Shiffrin lacked more predation for a better time.
